colour - The former Van Nelle Factory grounds on the Schie in Rotterdam during the very early hours of morning. Build in 1925 (completed in 1931) and seen as an icon of modernist and functionalist architecture. Now a designated UNESCO world heritage site. Currently, the building houses various companies and is also set up as a modern co-working space.

The rock is covered in moss and is rather dark, in contrast to the very light background. Ein Luchs liegt auf einem Felsen im Wald. Er hat seinen Kopf aufmerksam gehoben und blickt nach rechts, hat sonst aber eine entspannte Körperhaltung. Der Felsen ist von Moos bedeckt und liegt eher im Dunklen, im Kontrast zum sehr hellen Hintergrund.

This image of the #moon was created from a stack of 100 images. Stacking ans sharpening was done with Astrosurface. While this is a Windows tool it also works quiet well on #linux using wine.

With the editing in #darktable I tried to achieve a mineral moon look. However I was not able to highlight the different colors as intended. Do you have any tips for improvements?

🇫🇷 Ça, c’est une des premières photos de portrait que j’ai prise. Bien sûr que j’ai demandé à ma _bestie_ Daddie pour mes premiers pas en photographie. N’étant pas modèle elle même, on sent qu’elle est un peu crispée vu que c’était le début de la séance et que je chercher encore mon rythme pour la détendre, mais ça n’enlève en rien à son charme 😉

🇬🇧 This is one of my first #portrait photo ever. Of course I asked my bestie Daddie to be part of it. She’s not a model so we can feel that she’s a bit tense as we were at the beginning of the shooting and that I needed to find my way to make her more comfortable. But it doesn’t make her any less cuite 😉

🇫🇷 Ayant plus d’affinité pour le portrait, il est difficile de trouver des sujets quand je suis en ballade donc j’essaie de considérer ce que je peux traiter de la même manière qu’un portrait, me poussant parfois à aller chercher un détail dans un paysage. Ici à la Tour de #Londres, la météo était bien grise en plus, du coup les plans larges étaient tristounes.

🇬🇧 Being more a portrait than a landscape photographer, it’s a bit more hard to find interesting stuff to shoot when having a walk. So I try to see things that I can shoot the same way I shoot portraits and it makes me searching for details in a landscape. Here at the Tower of #London, the weather was not really good making landscape photography even harder.

Fotografía en la q se ve el oceano en el centro y tercio inferior izquierdo chocando contra las rocas en un acantilado rocoso la parte izquierda del cuadro, en el tercio superior se aprecia el cielo gris y nuboso, algunas manchas de vegetacion dan un toque de color verde a la imagen.

A re- toot: I'm yet another c. 2022 fosstodonian who found a new home in the fediverse. I'm a photographer & a retired fine art framer based in Reno, Nevada, (USA) & I'm in the process of moving to the Four Corners region. I've been running Linux since the late '90s. All photos are mine & edited using Darktable. I follow science, history, & photography toots. Here's a photo I made of Bonsai Rock, Lake Tahoe, Nevada (2017).

Bonsai Rock in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, is a large granite boulder just off the eastern shoreline. It's name comes from the two small "bonsai" trees growing in cracks at the top of the rock. The photo shows the rock in a mirror still lake with a red-orange sunset and distant mountain peaks in the background. There are two smaller rocks to the right that barely break the surface of the lake.

Darktable에는 filmic rgb 라는 모듈이 있는데, 미드 톤의 색과 컨트라스트를 중심으로 이미지 픽셀들의 RGB 정보를 remap하는 기능이다. 노출을 조정해서 미드 톤을 내가 원하는 부분으로 맞춘 다음에 적용하면 편리하다. 커브를 직접 만지거나 Tone EQ를 사용하는 것보다 더 자연스러워서 혹은 필름 비슷해서 좋다. 편해요.😅

근데 왜 내 라이젠 PC에서는 opencl 에러가 나는 걸까.;;
