A new photo essay about my recent visit to La Cebadilla, an abandoned village in La Alpujarra, near Capileira.

La Cebadilla was built to house workers for the Poqueira Hydroelectric Power Station. Even though the power station remains operational, the village itself has become a ghost town, with abandoned houses, an old hermitage, and a school. Check out the photos at tapasinthesun.com/photos/cebad

I have updated the photo essay, Exploring Capileira in Photos, with a series of night photos, all in black and white.

Once the sun sets, Capileira is transformed; streetlights are soft and few, so the whitewashed houses seem to glow gently under the stars. Away from the village centre, the soundscape becomes mostly natural and quiet — maybe the trickle of water running down the acequias...

Cova d'en Daina, a 4000+ year old dolmen and ring of stones located near the village of Romanyà de la Selva, , . There was no one else around the entire time I was there a few days ago, just me and the trees & the ancient stones. An amazing place.

꽤 오래 전에 찍은 사진. 바르셀로나 도시는 별로였지만 가우디 작품들만으로도 다시 방문할 의향이 있다. 요즘 사그라다 파밀리아 사진들을 다시 현상해보고 있는데, 솔직히 기대하지 않았던 카메라지만 피사체가 중요하지 카메라가 중요한 게 아니란 점을 다시 배운다. 내 현상 기술의 문제였지.

역광은 잘 다루면 정말 예쁘다. 플레어 나오기 직전에 잘 끊은 사진. 마음에 든다.

I wrote a blog post about our recent backpacking adventures in the Spanish and French Pyrenees.

Not many english speakers have heard of the 3000 Ibónes. Ibon is the Aragon word for mountain lake. It was this that first attracted me to the area which lies west of the Ordessa/Vignamale range. The idea of camping by lakes and rivers and skipping over the border passes between Spain and France held an appeal.

Approaching the Spanish/French border at the Puerto de Marcadeau 2541m in the Pyrenees mountain range. No passports needed to be stamped here though. In fact nobody within miles!

There is something that stirs the blood when you cross a mountain range between countries. As we reached the pass, saw the mountains and green valleys of France I spontaneously burst into an extremely bad rendition of "La Marseillaise".

Goodbye Dalí. Salvador Dalí’s final resting place, conveniently and appropriately located center stage in the Theater and Musuem in his hometown of . A fantastic place to visit.

Just returned from an amazing week in the including a 3 day backpacking trip. After getting our asses kicked by storms on the first night we crossed over the Haute Pyrenees from Spain to France via 2541m pass, spent a wonderfully tranquil night enjoying the "Sleep of the Gods" in a grassy meadow alongside a flowing river and returning next day. Memories that will last for ever. With @khusky

Rogue governments will allow indiscriminate internet blocks, like what's happening in , where all major ISP are blocking some major CDN and cloud providers like , , Quic or CDN77 (affecting millions of legitimate websites) just because some of their users are using them to host illegal IPTV streaming of sports (!)

This is the entrance area of the an underwater . The view upwards shows you an impressive ceiling. It somehow reminds you of stalactites. But this cave wasn't dry long enough for that. You think about how the water has created this work of art over thousands of years...

For those who don't know what the Minsk agreements were. In eastern Ukraine in 2014 & 2015, they were 2 laughable "peace" agreements with & Russia, which Putin, France & Germany helped broker.

And up until Feb 23rd 2022, Russia's occupation forces broke the ceasefire everyday & routinely moved heavy weapons into the demilitarized zone - killing & wounding soldiers & civilians every week. They also routinely threatened, detained and harassed OSCE conflict monitors - and on one occasion actually killed an OSCE member.

Hence... President Zelensky doesn't want another sham Minsk-3 "peace agreement"

President Zelensky keeping it plain and simple tonight on peace talks with Russia. "We understand all these challenges now. We know how to act. And we want to warn everyone: there will be no Minsk-3; what we need is real peace."

Minsk accords was an FSB-Putin operation “op” In 2014 Russia invaded Ukraine. Russia pretended the Russian soldiers weren't Russian. Putin pretended to negotiate "peace" deal that demanded Ukraine de-arm and not join NATO. Putin Khuylo, no minsk-3. Bydlo! Strategic Goals: The agreements allowed Russia to maintain a frozen conflict in Ukraine, which served as leverage against the Ukrainian government and its Western allies 2 4. This strategy aimed to prevent Ukraine from fully integrating with Western institutions like NATO and the EU. In essence, while the Minsk Accords were presented as peace agreements, they have been viewed by some as tools for Russia to achieve its geopolitical objectives while waging war against Ukraine. Then pretending the Russian aggressors weren't Russian.
